Ihave an almost 1-year old Asus ROG notebook. In the last two weeks I have noticed that my battery is not fully charged anymore. I have let it drain today completely and then recharged.
Restartthe system and press f2 key to enter BIOS - check the adapter status in BIOS with and without the adapter plugged in. Also, wiggle the adapter cable at the end and see if the status changes in BIOS at any point. Check the battery health in BIOS (if applicable). Restart the system and press f12 key on startup - choose diagnostics.
Shutdownand remove the external, then stick a paperclip in the Reset Hole under a few times, then push/hold it in for 20 seconds straight. That should reset the EC and battery, if that doesn't work there may be an issue with the battery or worst case motherboard. But to test that you can do a Battery Reset on the Internal to see if it works
1 Force Shut down the Laptop by holding the power button until the screen flicks off. 2. Then open the bottom panel and look for the battery connector on the motherboard. 3.Remove it by gently wiggling it out and then holding the power button while the battery is disconnected.
